The official website for the upcoming live-action film adaptation of Hiromu Arakawa's Hagane no Renkinjutsushi/Fullmetal Alchemist manga today confirmed it will be released in Japan in December 2017 and the actual costume of Roy Mustang will be displayed for the first time at the Tokyo Comic Convention 2016 event to be held at Makuhari Messe in Chiba Prefecture this weekend. You can check his costume at the booth of Warner Brothers Japan, but his iconic white gloves will not be included in the display for some yet explained reason.
In the Fumihiko Sori (Tomorrow's Joe)-directed film, the Flame Alchemist is played by 36-year-old Japanese actor Dean Fujioka (Ninja The Monster). "I am so happy to know about the costume display at Tokyo ComiCon. By seeing Roy Mustang's costume that is literally stained with blood and sweat, it would be great if you could feel all the team members' passion for the film production and the world view of the film," he said on the film's official website and Twitter.
