The popular short Dragon Dentist has already been announced to be getting a full-fledged TV anime adaptation -- well, a two-part special, technically. The expansion of the acclaimed short from Japan Anima(tor)'s Exhibition will be Khara's first foray into television animation.
It's been announced that the two halves of the special will air a week apart, with Part 1 airing February 18, 2017 at 8 am, and Part 2 airing at the same time on February 25.
The lead voice actress has also been revealed. Taking the role of Nonoko, the Dragon Dentist herself, is actress Fumika Shimizu.
Kamen Rider fans will recognize Shimizu as Yuki Jojima from Fourze. Beyond that, she has done very little voice acting work -- this will be her first leading role in an anime. She describes taking the role as "60% anticipation and 40% anxiety," but looks forward to bringing the character to life so that audiences can enjoy this new take on the story.
